Question Answer:

  1. Why should I sign up for an account at ACTA Press?

Top

In order to submit manuscript for journal publication consideration, the corresponding (one) author of each paper is required to have an online account with ACTA Press.  If the corresponding author does not have an account, he/she is required to sign up for one in order to submit the manuscript.

  1. How can I change my password, username or update profile?

Top

After logging onto the system, click on “User Profile” on the red menu bar at the top (under the ACTA Press logo).  It will take you to a page with all your contact information.  You can change your username, password and/or update contact information.  The changes will be updated after you click on the “Submit” button at the bottom of the page.  If successfully updated, this message Your profile has been updated successfully! will display on screen.

  1. I forgot my username and/or password, what should I do?

Top

You can retrieve your username and password from the main login page or by clicking here.  Enter the e-mail address as listed in your user profile, and your username and password will be sent you through e-mail.

  1. Can I sign up for more than one account?

Top

You should not sign up for more than one account.  Each user should only have ONE account at ACTA Press, whether they are the editors, reviewers or authors.  Depending on the role of each user (i.e. editors, reviewers or authors), each will have different access in the system.  However, all users can submit manuscript for publication consideration by clicking on “Author” on the red menu bar at the top of the page under the ACTA Press logo.

  1. What type of manuscripts can be submitted for publication consideration at ACTA Press?

Unpublished papers and extended versions of papers presented at conferences may be submitted for possible publication.  Surveys or tutorial papers are particularly welcome.  Click here for a complete list of journals at ACTA Press, and for the scope of each journal.

  1. How many manuscripts can an author submit for publication consideration and what are the restrictions?

Top

An author can submit any number of different manuscripts for publication consideration.  However, you can only submit one manuscript to one journal at one time.  You cannot submit the same paper to more than one journal at the same time for consideration, whether they are journals at ACTA Press or from other organizations.

  1. What are the formatting requirements for paper submission?

Top

Please visit the section on Information for Paper Submission to Journals for the requirements and standards.

  1. Is there a registration fee for initial paper submission?

Top

No, authors do not have to pay a registration fee for initial paper submission.  Applicable charges may apply only to the accepted papers.

  1. What are extra page charges?

Top

Extra page charges only apply to accepted papers.  For papers exceeding eight printed pages, inclusive of illustrations, there is a charge of $100 (US currency) per additional page.  Printed pages are in a single-spaced and double-column format, which is NOT the same as the format for paper submission.  Initial paper submission should be within, but not restricted to, a maximum of 16 pages (inclusive of all sections, and illustrations) with double-line spacing, single-column per page, and clear fonts with 12-pt size.
