MSE Analysis of a Reduced Complexit LMS-type Algorithm for Stereophonic Acoustic Echo Cancellation

This paper provides mean-square performance analysis for a stereophonic low complexity LMS-type adaptive algorithm. The algorithm is based on decomposing a given long adaptive lter into smaller sublters and em ploying the selective coecient update (SCU) approach in each sublter to reduce the computational overhead. Analysis assumes uncorrelated Gaussian input signals and that one coecient of each sublter is adapted at each iteration. Step-size bounds that guarantee stabil ity of the algorithm, and an expression for its steady state MSE are also derived under these assumptions.
