Abstract

Automatic transition to statechart from scenarios is a process which system behavior model is generated automatically from UML requirement models. This transition is important to refine system behavior and keep consistency between requirements and design. In this paper we propose an approach to generate statecharts from scenarios. This approach presents some judgment rules of state vectors that assist analysts to add semantic information to scenarios expressed by sequence diagrams gives an algorithm generating states and merging uniform states through sequence diagrams analysis, finally provide possible implied state transition paths with which analysts or users can further refine their requirements.
