IMC based, Robust PID Controller Tuning for SUT Building Energy Management System

IMC based, Robust PID controller Tuning for Sharif University of Technology (SUT) building energy management system (BMS) is addressed in this paper. Model uncertainty and the time delay are the most characteristic of process systems, therefore smith predictor and Equivalent Gain Pulse Time Delay (EGPTD) method are presented in this paper to design the IMC based Robust PID controller for temperature control system due to model uncertainty. Simulation results show that designed controller with respect to conventional PID tuning rules as Ziegler and Nichols method has performed good performance due to model uncertainty.
