Abstract

In this contribution, we propose a technique for the automatic detection and motion estimation of objects in colour video sequences. For this technique, we apply the Multi-Channel-Matching in connection with colour information for the improvement of the matching quality when disturbances occur. These disturbances lead to an incorrect determination of the correspondences in a video sequence and finally to a false motion information. The suggested technique for motion estimation is adaptive and robust in comparison with the conventional methods.
