A LPV-state Feedback Controller Design for Nonlinear Plants

This paper describes a strategy for the control of nonlinear (input affine) systems by means of LPV-gain-scheduling state feedback control. The request for control system sta bility is of fundamental importance. The control concep tion presented in this paper makes it possible to guaran tee the quadratic stability behaviour of the nonlinear closed loop within a defined working room. Draft conditions are derived in the form of linear matrix inequalities. In this context a calculation directive will be introduced for the scalar polytopic coordinates on the basis of the Gaussian ra dial basis functions. The conception will be demonstrated by means of a process engineering example.
