Neural Network Models of Wave Propagation in Excitable Media

In contrast to wave propagation theories based on non linear differential equations, to simulate a signal uniform propagation, development of spirals, multiple fronts, their meandering and breakdown dimensionless cellular network model inspired by artificial neural network methodology is suggested. New paradigm was studied through computer simulations and linked to reflect some features of signal propagation in excitable media modeled by other methods. Use of new model makes the computations much faster and lessens a necessity to utilize supercomputers.
