This paper discusses a design problem of an adaptive robust contoller for a class of uncertain linear systems. The adaptive robust controller under consideration consists of a state feedback with a fixed gain and an adaptive compensation input and the adaptive compensation input is designed and the resulting adaptive robust controller can avoid the chattering phenomenon. In this paper, we present a design method of the adaptive robust controller. Finally, simple numerical examples are presented.
