Design of Robust I-PD Controller based on Pareto-optimality: Comparison with Generalized ISE

In this paper, a new design method of robust I-PD controller based on Pareto-optimality is proposed. The proposed de sign method is formulated as a two-objective optimization problem in which an issue of settling time and damping ratio is translated into a pole assignment problem. In or der to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed design method, we compare with the preexisting design method based on the generalized ISE (Integral of Squared Error) criterion.
