Abstract

A novel neuro-fuzzy control strategy for torque-ripple minimisation in switched reluctance motors is presented. A compensating signal is added to the output of a PI controller in a current-regulated speed control loop. The neuro-fuzzy compensator is trained offline. Simulation results confirm a very significant reduction in the torque ripple.
