The accurate simulation of battery cells is of growing interest in automotive industry especially in hybrid vehicle technology. Existing battery models are not able to predict the dynamic behavior of lead-acid batteries. In this paper an enhancement to state of the art battery models is presented, which improves prediction of the dynamic cell behavior significantly.
