Motion Animation using Study's Quadric

The main contribution of this paper is a new way of design ing motion animations, by using any conventionalcurve de sign algorithm. Given a set of key frames, each represent ing a rigid body in Euclidean three-space, mapped via the kinematic mapping to points onto the Study quadric. From there the points are projected to an affine hyper-space with Euclidean norm, where any standard curve design tech nique can be used. Finally points of the generated curve are mapped back and represent frames interpolating or ap proximating a motion animation.
