The goal of this paper is to present a prototype that allows interaction between users and a three-dimensional virtual world using voice commands. The development of this prototype was based on the following technologies: VRML (Virtual Reality Modeling Language). Java and EAI (External Authoring Interface), Java Speech API and IBM Via Voice.
