In this paper an attribute oriented approach to personalization and its management is presented. The personalization is a technique that enables different attributes to have an effect on overall usability and acceptance of the application. The attributes are building blocks in the personalized service and application provision. The way attributes are defined and used in this paper greatly enhances, not only service and application usability, but also acceptability of technology. This approach is applied from networking to services, communities and user engineering and is illustrated as an importance magnifier. The attributes are studied through the personal importance point of view. For management and personalization purposes these attributes are inserted into three distinctive layer; user, community and networking. The approach is demonstrated through ad hoc game scenario in which the attributes, layering and the management are discussed
