This paper presented a time domain dynamic aggregation of power generating units and its control systems by using the structure preserving approach. Dynamic aggregation is one of the main steps in constructing a power system dynamic equivalent. In this paper, the dynamic aggregation of mathematical models for classical synchronous machine model, the exciter system, the turbine-governor system, and the power system stabilizer have been derived. The test results demonstrated a satisfactory match between full sample power systems with the equivalent system.
