Channel estimation, pilot pattern, interpolation technique, and OFDM
In this paper, we present a modified pilot pattern and interpolation techniques for channel estimation in OFDM systems. Conventional channel estimation methods for OFDM systems do not have robust characteristics in time varying channel. To overcome this weakness of the conventional channel estimation methods in mobile channel, we propose a pilot assisted channel estimation method for OFDM systems, which has a good performance in fast fading environments. Also, it is shown that proposed interpolation techniques outperform existing interpolation methods.
