Frequency domain balanced structure with integra tion of singular perturbation is proposed to achieve model reduc tion of large-scale discrete-time systems. The method is applied to open-loop as well as closed-loop discrete systems. The response of the reduced system closely resembles the response of the full or der system within the specified frequency range of operation. The simulation experiments for the model reduction of several large scale discrete-time systems demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed technique.
