Reduction of Streak Artifacts in an Analytical Attenuation Correction Method for Single Photon Emission CT

This paper proposes an analytical attenuation correction method for a non-uniform attenuator in single photon emission CT. The performance of our proposed method was investigated with two simulation phantoms. Streak artifacts which appeared in images reconstructed with projection data including statistical noise were reduced by means of our method.
