.- Clusters of microcalcifications in mammograms are an important early sign of breast cancer. This paper presents the efficiency of combination of entropic edge detection and fuzzy expert system in recognizing cancer regions on mammograms. It is especially suitable when the source image of the mammography obtained in the lab is affected by any kind of noise.
