: This paper provides an overview about application of AI in controlling of autonomous players in a soccer game. This includes the pros and cons of different alternative strategy approaches. Additionally we present our devel oped strategy module, which combines potential method and role allocation for autonomous players. The advantage of the potential method is dynamic role assignment and the easy understandability. The proposed method is presented with an example.
