Decay Rate Fuzzy Controller Design with Piecewise Lyapunov Functions

The present paper extends existing results for controller synthesis of Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy systems based on a piecewise Lyapunov function, making possible to specify the decay rate related with the speed of response. Extension arises from the well-known result based on a common Lya punov function and can be implemented via linear matrix inequalities, which are numerically solvable with commer cially available software. Controller design is illustrated by an example.
