A Novel Design of Multi-Band FSS with Sierpinski Gasket Tripole Elements

In this paper a novel FSS design is introduced as a band-reject filter for microwave frequencies. Here we used an innovative Fractal geometry for elements of the FSS. The structure has been analyzed with the Method of Moment (MoM). The results show an interesting Multi band behavior of the transmitted power. Finally, performance of the structure was compared with that of Sierpinski dipole FSS and it has been shown that it is possible to tune the FSS response by properly perturbating the geometry of the elements.
