Abstract

A softswitch controls media gateways to intercon nects PSTN with packet based multi-service network is the first step in transition scenario to next generation network. SIP-T protocol is used to establish, modify, and terminate sessions for inter-softswitch signaling. In this paper we describe our approach for the design of SIP-T by using SDL Design Patterns in a softswitch system. Consequently we can achieve high quality by using the predefined solutions and reduce development cost through experience, reusability, and modularity of patterns.
