Artificial vision systems for gaze detection could be useful for developing natural interfaces in human computer interaction. For this purpose several issues must been addressed including capturing, illumination and image processing. In this paper we discuss some algorithms and implementation issues regarding an eye tracking and gaze estimation system for a user's face, and how it can be used as input for programs, using IMAQ and JMF software frameworks.
