TEMATH (Tools for Exploring Mathematics) is a mathe matics software package developed by Robert E. Kowal czyk and myself at UMass Dartmouth. The focus of this paper is on TEMATH's graphical interface design, which enables even computer novices to apply sophisticated mathematical modeling tools graphically. An overview of TEMATH’s interface will be presented along with com mentary about its design. Examples demonstrating how TEMATH can be used to help students study mathemati cal models are also discussed.
