Magneto-Rheological Fluid Dampers Modeling: Numerical and Experimental

In this paper a finite element analysis of magnetorheological fluid (MR) damper is presented. Electromegnetical and fluid flow analyses have been performed separately. Finite element results are then compared with experimental results obtained from an MR damper, UTMR83, fabricated damper in University of Tehran. Results matched well and showed that MR damper model developed here is accurate and can be use for design and control purposes.
