Design of Bandpass Delta Sigma Modulators using Differential Evolution

In this paper, a differential evolution (DE) algorithm, which is a type of genetic algorithm, is used to design bandpass delta sigma modulators (∆ΣΜs). Several ∆ΣΜs are designed using this DE algorithm, and these resulting ∆ΣΜs are compared to ∆ΣΜs designed using the delsig toolkit in Matlab. The performance of each design is measured with respect to dynamic range and signal to quantization noise ratio (SQNR).
