Distributed Stable Storage for Copies of State Information in Wireless Ad-Hoc Networks

For implementation of a checkpoint recovery method in a mobile wireless network, a stable storage is required for storing state information. However, failure-independent storage devices are not realized in a mobile computer. This paper proposes a distributed stable storage realized by co operation of multiple neighbor mobile computers. Our pro posed protocol works with an existing 3-phase checkpoint protocol without additional control message transmissions.
