This paper proposes to use wireless JTAG for in-situ wireless sensor network testing and reconfiguration. The proposed wireless JTAG infrastructure utilizes the existing radio devices in the wireless sensor nodes and allows the devices in the sensor nodes to be tested/reconfigured using standard JTAG ports on the device. The paper also proposes to use genetic algorithm for wireless JTAG path selection to achieve balanced energy consumption through multiple JTAG runs.
