A Low Power Wide Bandwidth Second Order Continuous Time Sigma Delta Modulator with Single Amplifier Scheme

This work presents a new low power second order continuous time sigma delta modulator with single operational amplifier and compensated passive filter for wide bandwidth applications. For optimizing the frequency response of the proposed circuit, two compensated inverters are used to increase about 10dB of the signal to noise and distortion ratio. An experimental modulator is designed with 2.3mW of power dissipation and 67dB of signal to noise and distortion ratio for wideband code division multiple access applications.
