J2: Refinement of a Topological Image Steganographic Method

Abstract

Prior work described the baseline version J1 of a spatial do main image steganographic embedding based on manipula tion of the frequency domain, and presented a topological approach to the problem. This paper modifies the embed ding and extraction processes of J1 to allow for larger pay load. The improved steganographic algorithm is called J2, and is more robust to steganographic detection than J1. J2 lends itself to probabilistic analysis (done elsewhere) due to the nature of the modifications to the embedding and ex traction methods.
