Table Top Terahertz Spectrometer based on Fiber Laser

We describe terahertz time-domain spectroscopy system which uses second harmonic (775 nm) of femtosecond fiber laser as a pump source. Achieved spectral resolution is reported to be 15 GHz, and Fourier spectrum dynamic range is 400 for 2.6 THz bandwidth. The working capacity of the spectrometer is verified by measuring the spectrum of water vapor. The perspectives of further enhancements and possible applications of the system are discussed.
