Abstract

In this paper, the line of sight (LOS) guidance law is proposed to study the problem of pursuer tracking and navigation towards a moving target in the three-dimensional space. The manoeuvres of the target are not a priori known to the pursuer. To model the pursuer and the target, the geometric rules combined with kinematics equations expressed in a polar representation are applied in this paper. In the absence of obstacle, the pursuer can successfully reach the moving target under the LOS guidance law. The results of simulation demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed control strategy.
