Single ideal relay feedback test is carried out on loop 1 of linear 2-by-2 MIMO system and undesirable relay response curves are observed in loop 2 which is in auto mode. These undesirable relay responses are modeled in time domain and theoretical models are validated. Closed loop identification is done using the land mark points on the undesirable relay response curves. Hence, time domain analytical expressions are helpful in deriving the conditions to estimate process parameters accurately with known controller parameters.
