The Algorithm and Application of Variable Condition Calculation on Condenser Pressure

This paper presents a novel algorithm based on the heat transfer theory to calculate the condenser pressure in the variable conditions. After testing in a 2*600MW condensing steam turbine unit, this algorithm is proved to be with high accuracy. As two essential factors affecting the condenser pressure, the exhaust steam enthalpy and the inlet temperature of cooling water are discussed explicitly in this paper. All of these above are used for the optimization of the circulating water system so as to save more energy, and the determination of the target value of the condenser pressure in order to guide on the economic operation of the power equipment.
