This paper presents a novel haptic interface control system for robotic industrial processes. Taking into account the state of art in industrial automation and industrial robotics, the aim of this work is to place human abilities, flexibility and experience at the centre of industrial processes, using a suitable Haptic Device Interface (HDI). To explore and to exploit this aim, the system was designed and validated in a specific industrial case study: Gas Tungsten Arc Welding process.
