Optimal Intra-Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection with a Piezo Micromanipulator

This article presents the development of a computer-controlled piezo manipulation system for biomedical applications such as intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). In particular, the work focuses on systematically deriving an optimal set of processing conditions using the Taguchi method to provide a good success rate for the ICSI process. Experimental results are furnished to highlight the performance yield following the adoption of the optimal parameters.
