Abstract

In this paper, a novel approach for rule-based control systems is proposed; it uses a modified crisp logic method to emulate the fuzzy reasoning. The main aim of the proposed method is to minimize the processing time in fuzzy logic control systems. In the present work, the authors bring two modifications to the fuzzy reasoning; the first one concerns the choice of the membership functions for the input and output variables while the second one involves the computation of the crisp output value.
