Antennas, Body Influence, Wireless Applications
In this paper, a new 3G multi-band antenna is presented for GSM, DCS, PCS, UMTS and WPAN/WLAN bands. The antenna was designed and simulated under the Electromagnetic Simulator CST Microwaves Studio. A prototype of the final version was fabricated and measured. The antenna’s interaction with the human body was also investigated. Thus, simulations with a homogenous head model were made and then compared with measurements. The results show a good agreement between the simulations and the measurements for both the design and the body interaction studied parts.
